Nama never fails to provide a great dining experience; from the service to the environment to the delicious food. Our server was Emily, and my friend and I both agreed she was one of the most attentive (and easy-going) servers either of us have had anywhere in a long while. Ask for hear- you won't be disappointed!

The food was great, service was fast. Bathrooms were clean. We had sushi, sashimi, dumplings, and a spicy beef dish, it was all great.

We went on Thursday and sat within 30 minutes, I ordered miso soup which was delicious and fresh starter followed by the Avocado Maki that was delicious and they even offered gluten free soy sauce that was clearly labeled which i appreciated. My boyfriend ordered Mango Sake, Crazy Tuna and Tuna Crunch, with crazy tuna being his personal favorite. Kordell was our server and he was amazing, the food is served in waves and comes out when ready rather than all together. The restaurant had a great vibe and overall we had a great experience. Will be back soon!

Stopped in for Monday lunch, it was pretty quiet. Unfortunately too early for 1/2 price special however they had a lunch menu in addition to regular menu. Our server was very nice and quick to check on us. Rainbow, Maui wowie and soy Joy rolls were good however soy joy had the best flavor and the cheapest by a lot. Nigiri tuna was firm and fresh and the salmon was a little mushy. Miso soup was good as well as cucumber salad. Our drinks were a nice treat with full flavors. First wasabi on our platter was old and bland. It would not dissolve in the soy sauce. The extra we asked for was Very potent and dissolved great. I would definitely come back for half price on Monday or Thursday. Regular priced menu is just a bit much. $103 with 2 alcohol beverages.

I just had the best old fashioned of my life made by the amazing bartender Halle. The pork dumplings were crispy which was new and fun. What a great experience.

The food is the same here as the Nama on Cedar Bluff. The Royale and crunchy shrimp rolls are my favorite. I was sad they ran out of spring rolls so I got dumplings. Over all it's good, it's a little more cramped since you're downtown and everything is tighter. We stopped by since we were walking back to our car after the TN game. We took seats by the sushi bar so we were able to sit right away since we did not have reservations. The lemon cake is also light and delicious.

We were exploring Gay St. and wanted sushi for dinner. We saw that Noma had a sushi special on Thursdays. We were able to go before it got too busy. We started with the dumplings which were very good. My son enjoyed his Philly roll and tuna nigiri. I had the fancy scallop and Boston rolls. I thought they were tasty. My favorite was my octopus nigiri. It was very tender. Our waitress was very nice. They bring your sushi in waves on special nights.

I had a decent experience at Nama downtown. I loved half price sushi night, but so did everyone else as it was packed. The food was good but not amazing. I'd probably go back here again, just for the half off sushi. I went to Nama around 6:30 PM on a Thursday (the half off sushi day). We could only get a table outside, and people who came later said the wait was ~25 min. Thus: service was pretty slow & the food took a while to come out. The food was pretty tasty though. I got the tuna crunch roll and had no complaints. It was supposed to be spicy tuna but I didn't notice any spice at all. Personally - I preferred the crunchy shrimp roll. However - For the crunch shrimp role, they leave a few shrimp with the tails still on (removing these kinda sucks). The steamed dumplings were amazing though! Definitely the highlight of the meal. 100% recommend these.
